AN INTERVIEW with MARI LUODE
School/education?
BBA-Degree in polytechnic (I have graduated as a bachelor
of business administration, I studied international business and marketing
in english).
Hobbies?
My hobbies are gym, jogging and pilates. In winter, I
sometimes go ice water swimming.
What is the best thing about you? And the worst?
The best thing about me is that I'm
friendly and try to treat the others well. Not so good thing is that I'm
quite lazy sometimes what it comes to studying and I'm a hopeless dreamer.
What are the good and bad sides in modeling?
I think the best side
about modeling is that it gives you an opportunity to travel as well as see
and do things you propably would not experience otherwise.
How has the group spirit been in contests?
Almost in every contest I've been in it has been really good.
Usually the girls are very nice and kind.
Have you got a role model?
Yes, I've had quite some people that influenced my
life a lot, formed my personality the way it is today and took a special
place in my heart. The most important of them have been my mother and my
grandfather, who both are truly gutsy and strong-minded, yet kind,
warm-hearted and loving.
What do you expect from the future? I would like to work as a model in various occasions, reach my dreams and be healthy and happy.
How does success influence you as a model? It makes me want to make even more effort to be a better model.
Who or what keeps you on the ground?
I am very down- to -earth- kind of
person, so I quess I keep myself on the ground. If I would go high above the
ground I believe my family and friends would help me to come back to my
senses.
What is your ideal man like?
Loving, caring, trustworthy, the kind of
person who shows his affection, treats you well and commits himself into
relationship. The kind of person who makes you grow as a person in a
relationship, understands you and is always there for you.
What would you do if you weren't a model?
Perhaps some other things I find
interesting.
Which is more important, inner or outer beauty?
Inner beauty. If person looks good outside but the beauty doesn't come from within, she is
like an empty shell, not half as beautiful as someone whose beauty comes
truly from within.
What is the best experience in the business so far?
Definitely the Model of the World-contest in Tanzania. It was truly an honour for me to present Finland
in the contest and I will remember it the rest of my life.
What is the most unforgettable experience in your miss/model-career?
Same as above.
